About Me

My name is Lucy Corippo and I am a freshman in the Pratt School of Engineering at Duke University and plan on earning an undergraduate degree in Biomedical Engineering. I lived in Auburn, California for my whole life before moving to Duke. For reference (because nobody knows where Auburn is), Auburn is about an hour north of Sacramento or two hours north of San Francisco, so I live closer to Oregon than any movie stars.

My Name

My first name is simple enough, but the last has been known to cause problems. Corippo is pronounced like "Core-ih-po" with slight emphasis on the "Core". If you ask a telemarketer, though, it may sound more like "Copipo", "Carpio", or "Coripipo".

Favorite Demo

My favorite Matlab demo would have to be the one on graphing 3-D plots. It provided an interesting look at programming and all of the different parameters of a graph which the user can manipulate. Plus it has pretty colors!

Grand Challenges for Engineering Article
