Solar Manufacturing:Not so sunny
[1], Kate Galbraith, The New York Times, created 14 January 2009, accessed 19 January 2009 (Grand Challenge)
Manufactures of solar panels are suffereing as demand is falling dramatically. In recent years installers of the rooftop solar systems have been "badgering" manufactures to ensure they were receiving enough panels for their business, due to a shortage of polysilicon used in forming the panels. What's more, installers have now reduced the quantity of panels purchased from the manufactures as a result of the recent recession.
