** Basically, it means at come point the <code>lab1.dvi</code> became empty. This can happen if [[LaTeX]] doesn't work well sometimes. Just re-run LaTeX to produce a good .dvi file and go from there. Please open xwin.0.log for more information". In the log file, it mentions that it "Cannot establish any listening sockets - Make sure an X server isn't already running". I thought that if that was the case, then I could probably use the emacs command, but when I log into a computer to use that command, I get a Connection lost to X server 'localhost:10.0' error. - What does this mean and how can you load kdvi if the following message occurs even if you really did type, (kdvi lab1.dvi &)?
-Could not open file /afs/acpub.duke.edu/users/c/j/cjt14/EGR53/lab1/lab1.dvi which has type application/x-zerosize. KDVI can only load DVI (.dvi) files.-
