One of the key issues is nuclear terror and clearly the first step in reducing the possibility of such an occurrence comes from stopping the sloughing of thousands of pounds of radioactive (possibly nuclear fissile) material. More and more is appearing in the news about reactors that are designed around this basic premise and (as per usual) the economist does a great job of describing several of these designs.
