Xming is a free-ish X-windows server for windows machines. The "ish" comes from the fact that the most recent release requires payment, but previous versions do not. To load it, go to http://www.straightrunning.com/XmingNotes/ and scroll down to the Releases section. In there, find the Public Domain Releases and install both Xming and the Xming fonts.
