About Me
I am a freshman at Duke University. I am attending Duke's Pratt school of engineering, and I am hoping to major in both/either Biomedical and/or Mechanical engineering.
Name Pronunciation
My name is Joshua Nugent and it is pronounced such that it sounds like "Jaw-Shoe-Uh New-Gent". People often remember my last name by associating me with Ted Nugent (an American songwriter), but I have no known relation to him.

MATLAB Demo
My favourite Matlab demonstration was the 3D plotting. It was quite amazing to see code for 3 dimensional graphs when I'm so used to dealing with 2 dimensions (the basic xy graph). And although the code seemed quite complicated, and I don't fully understand it, it's exciting to think that by the end of the semester I will know how to write code for such complex shapes.
