ePrint allows you to print black and white documents for free over the Duke network. While not using an on-campus internet connection, you can still use ePrint if have Duke's VPN Client. Once you add a print job, you may print it from any OIT computer lab using your Duke Card. The print queue nominally lasts for 12 hours, but during times of heavy load it may be reduced to 8 or 6 hours.

Cost
During the 2007-2008 school year OIT instituted a per-semester allocation for all students[1]:
All documents sent to the ePrint queues will be charged $0.02 per page for single-sided and $0.01 per page for double-sided printing (minimum cost $0.02). The default allocation provides up to 3,600 pages of free double-sided printing per semester. OIT labs and the libraries will have duplex printing enabled by default on public workstations. All users are encouraged to use the duplex mode to maximize their laser printing and help reduce the impact on our environment.
Color laser printing in Duke's libraries remains $0.50 per page, and is charged directly to FLEX.
“The ePrint free allocation is designed to help all users recognize the cost and value of the ePrint service,” says Kevin Davis, Senior Manager at Student Technology Services. “It should encourage reasonable, sustainable printing habits.”
Students can request unlimited, immediate increases in their allocation in $10 increments once their available free ePrint allocation drops below $9. Users can view their available allocation and request an increase via the DukeCard section of DukePass. Students who deplete their free allocation will have print jobs charged to their FLEX account until they request an allocation increase.

Printer stations are located in many academic buildings, dorms, and public spaces. OIT maintains a list at their ePrint Locations and Printer Types page.
Troubleshooting
My files will not show up! (when printing from Teer or Hudson computers)
The particular Hudson or Teer machine you used may have had a full print queue. If you type the command
lpq
there should be no entries; if there are (likely dozens), that particular machine has lost its connection to the ePrint server. Log in to a different Hudson or Teer machine, type lpq
to check its queue, and print from there if you can.
